Joshua Cohen Slatkin, founder of JCS Law Firm, has built his career fighting for people — whether they’ve been seriously injured or treated unfairly at work. A Loyola Law School 2012 graduate with over a decade of experience and fluent Spanish speaker, Josh has tried multiple personal injury and employment jury trials since opening his firm in 2013.
Before starting his own practice, Josh trained through the prestigious ABOTA Fellowship, worked at top plaintiff and defense firms, and helped exonerate an innocent man after 17 years in prison while he worked for Loyola’s Project for the Innocent as a law student.
Recognized every year since 2016 as a Southern California Rising Star by Super Lawyers with only 2.5% of attorneys in Southern California receiving this distinction. Due to his experience and years of practice, Josh is currently named as a Southern California Super Lawyer, with only 5% of lawyers receiving this distinction. Josh is known for his tenacity, trial skills, and unwavering dedication to his clients. Josh puts his clients’ interests above his own with a focus on always obtaining the best possible legal result. Josh has obtained numerous seven figure settlements on behalf of his clients in single plaintiff employment and personal injury claims, a feat that few lawyers have achieved.
He is an active member of various legal professional associations where he is currently a board of governors member of the Consumer Attorneys’ Association of Los Angeles (“CAALA”), the nation’s largest local plaintiff only bar association in the country. Josh is also active in the Consumer Attorneys of California and the California Employment Lawyers Association.
When you need an attorney who will fight for you from day one through trial, Josh is the advocate you want on your side.
